Meet the Chef
Michelle was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California and has been more then fortunate to have been surrounded by a bountiful and innovative food and wine culture. Michelle attended a two-year culinary program here in Santa Barbara, CA. Hungry for more education Michelle went on to obtain her bachelors degree (2007) from The Culinary Institute of America in New York, the worlds premier culinary college.
During her education she discovered a world beyond the plate in local, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients, food history and its relation to culture, health and wellness, food innovation and technology, food design and food as an experience beyond the sensation of taste.
Michelle’s scholarly achievements granted her an invitation from The Culinary Institute of America to travel through the country of Italy to study regional Food and Wine. Not only did this increased her knowledge for regional Italian cuisine but enhanced her palate for food and wine flavor profiles as well.
Michelle has since held industry Executive Chef positions, consulted, and/or catered events for the following companies: Google, Deckers, Citrix (LogMeIn), Sonos, Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Santa Barbara Old Spanish Days – Fiesta, SilverGreens, Compass Group, Seymour Duncan, Los Angeles Latin Film Festival, and The Ritz Carlton. Just to name a few.
This twenty-year culinary journey has deepened her enthusiasm not only for food but for the industry in its entirety. “I am excited to share my drive and passion for food and culinary excellence, catering and hospitality with the world!” – Michelle.
